Year of Giving Club - Stable and Sustainable Employment for Survivors

We all spend hundreds of dollars in gifts each year.  Why not also save a life through your gift-giving?!  The Year of Giving Club is Made By Survivors’ newest program - enabling our supporters to help women build safe, slavery-proof lives, while enjoying and giving inspiring products Made By Survivors.

Club members will receive a selection of beautiful gifts 2-4 times a year, as well as special reports and stories from our programs and survivors, so you can share our joy in seeing lives transformed and feel a personal connection to the people you are helping.

Join the worldwide community of people who are standing up against modern slavery.  Our survivor-artisans have been rescued from slavery in brothels, quarries, farms, factories and private homes.  Despite all that they have suffered, these young women are full of hope for the future.  The mission of every Made By Survivors program - including the Year of Giving Club - is to give survivors the tools they need to make their dreams possible.

LEVEL ONE MEMBERSHIP: $200 

Twice a year, starting in December, our Level One Members will receive a beautiful selection of some of our most beautiful products at a 10% discount and a  members only Special Project Update and Photo Book. 

LEVEL TWO MEMBERSHIP: $500

Four times a year, starting in December, our Level Two Members will receive a beautiful selection of some of our most beautiful products at a 10% discount, and the members only Special Project Update and Photo Book.  In addition, one of the products we will be sending you will be a one of a kind, survivor designed piece of jewelry!  The first 100 members at this level will get a special extra gift!

LEVEL THREE MEMBERSHIP: $1000

Four times a year, starting in December our Level Three Members will receive a beautiful selection of some of our most beautiful products - and the members only Special Project Update and Photo Book.  In addition, one of the products we will be sending you will be a one of a kind, survivor designed piece of jewelry!  The first 100 members at this level will get a special extra gift!

This membership also includes tax-deductible donations for two very important programs - a Training Sponsorship to help a survivor transform her life, and a donation to help launch our new Survivor Health Fund   Through special reports and updates on how your donation is used, you will share in the joy and satisfaction of watching survivors recover from trauma and build their own bright futures!

Employment and economic empowerment is a crucial part of fighting slavery and slavery-proofing survivors and their children.  That is why your Level Three membership includes a six month training scholarship and tools for a survivor in one of our three Jewelry Centers ($300 donation) enabling her to move from poverty and extreme stigmatization to a highly respected profession.  You will receive the trainee’s photo, bio and project updates, and best of all - a custom jewelry piece made for you by one of our survivor-goldsmiths!

Health Care Fund:  survivors struggle with health issues resulting from years of neglect and abuse.  Some have HIV/AIDS or tuberculosis, some require surgery or ongoing treatment for reproductive issues, burns, orthopedic injuries, malnutrition and other problems.  Whenever possible, we pay for treatment out of our general budget, or ‘pass the hat’ around our staff and core volunteers when emergencies arise.  We have long seen the need for an emergency health fund to draw on whenever a survivor in our program or a partner program needs health care.  Your Level Three Membership includes a $100 donation to help launch the new fund.  We will send a report at the end of the year explaining how the funds were used to help survivors.
